John Christie is a voice actor out of Toledo, Ohio. Over the years he has played D&D, he has stuck to magic caster classes. 3.5 he played a custom half-lich sorcerer that gave the DM a little control over his character. Always one for the narrative vs. the combat his character builds are often strange, choosing spells and abilities that a normal casting class wouldn’t need or use, but to John are interesting.

“I love embodying the characters I play, I often develop their personality and motivations before I choose a race and class and use that personality to guide the character building process."

Poinketh is the voice that arises in the head of a mid-thirties man every time he’s in the proximity of a fandom discussion. Happy to take part in any discussion of any fandom he has knowledge of, this is usually limited to family, friends, and Reddit. Such commentary has never been considered ‘official’ before.

Karl Andinach, the host body for Poinketh, was born, raised, and has returned to living in Kalgoorlie, Western Australia. Due to time zones and a strong dislike of catching only part of a story, it is unlikely you will catch him in the live chat for the show but he will continue to observe, comment and provide insights and odd pop culture references for each episode as long as he is capable.

Youngest in his family, he grew up surrounded by people already steeped in the humour of Douglas Adams, Monty Python, Gilbert and Sullivan, and the Marx Brothers. Reading was heavily encouraged and authors like Terry Pratchett, Neil Gaiman, and Dianna Wynne-Jones sneakily taught Karl new ways of looking at the world while he thought he was just being entertained. The idea of fandom was introduced to him through one of his brothers and Doctor Who but he slowly realised that anything could be a fandom, a belief proved and made easier to pursue by the rise of the internet during his teenage years.

An interest in D&D led to an attempt with friends to start a campaign. A recommendation from the DM of that attempt led Karl to check out the liveplay show, Acquisitions Incorporated. A crossover episode led Karl to Dice, Camera, Action. On the subreddit one day someone mentioned they were starting a new show that they hoped people would check out. Karl did and, having found his way to the Adari Republic, has not left.

Karl finds it very awkward writing about himself in third person but it seems appropriate for this format.
