githcar

Very little is known about the isolated and territorial city of githzerai and githyanki that appeared suddenly in the depths of the Middlewood proceeding the great magical disaster known as The Flux. Indeed, were it not for the elven sentries who keep watch over the few surviving ruins of the old elven empire, the city might have gone undiscovered for many years more. Although many Aeinian scholars know about the rift between the planar people of Gith and Zerthimon, neither people have ever had much to do with the world, and given the nature of the chronomatic disaster that may have had something to do with its arrival, many learned people are wondering if Githcar may have come from Aeinia’s past. However, all reports seem to indicate that the city is a new addition to the world, and they have not even conceded to join the Eastlands Alliance as yet, which no city-state has made much of given the remoteness of the city’s location.

The arrival of the gith has been alarming to many of the leaders of the Eastlands who worry that the war-like githyanki are using their new outpost as a staging ground in an invasion that is meant to be some kind of critical move in the githyanki’s endless war against the mind flayers. However, in what little communication has happened with the leaders of the Eastlands city-states and the new city, the gith have expressed hatred for the war-like githyanki and the law-obsessed githzerai. The gith have claimed that they want nothing to do with their people’s ancient fueds and planar political alliances and only wish to live in peace.
